ET Works joins Insight, OCF, Softcat and Centerprise, as a Fujitsu partner, to provide UK universities and colleges with high-performance IT solutions
London, July 8 2021 – In a move that will bolster its network of UK resellers, Fujitsu has welcomed ET Works to its roster of nominated partners on the Server, Storage and Solutions National Agreement (SSSNA), the framework managed by the Southern Universities Purchasing Consortium (SUPC).
Fujitsu has been an approved supplier through the SSSNA since its inception in 2016, with ET Works joining Fujitsu’s existing strategic partners, Insight, OCF, Softcat and Centerprise, as a nominated reseller.
In its new position on the framework, ET Works, alongside the already successful team of partners, will offer UK universities and colleges the opportunity to purchase servers, storage, as well as converged, hyper-converged, hybrid, and high-performance IT solutions; all while remaining compliant with EU guidelines.
Universities and colleges purchasing through the SSSNA will have access to Fujitsu’s PRIMEFLEX Integrated Systems, PRIMERGY Servers, ETERNUS Storage and High-Performance Computing Solutions.
Paul McLean, Director of Channel Sales, at Fujitsu UK and Ireland, said: “For more than five years now we’ve been part of the SSSNA, providing fast, affordable and reliable products and solutions to universities and colleges across the country; and giving them secure and easy access to data and services to improve students’ personal learning experiences.
“The framework itself has helped education organisations stretch their budgets further and eliminate the need for a lengthy bid process; something that has been more important than ever following the past 12 months of economic disruption. The fact that the framework allows for accelerated deployment and comprehensive support and installation services has also proved invaluable to education organisations during the pandemic, as they quickly needed to adapt to a digital-first education environment.”
Ash Merchant, Education Director for Fujitsu UK and Ireland, said: “Adding ET Works to our family of trusted, expert partners is a fantastic opportunity to extend our network of support to universities and colleges, and give them access to the technology they need to improve learning outcomes for their students. Fujitsu’s family of partners on the framework is gaining another valued member and we couldn’t be more excited to have ET Works on board.”
Andrew Boyce, MD of ET Works, said: “It is fantastic news that ET Works is now a reseller on the SSSNA framework with our strategic partners Fujitsu. In the same way that Formula 1 drives innovative technology into the wider car market, here at ET Works we work with only the most innovative technologies from the best global vendors to enable educational institutions to accelerate their curriculums and achieve the best learning outcomes for their students. Already being proud IT partners to many educational teams such as Robert Gordon University and Coleg Gwent, we look forward to bringing this potent combination of Fujitsu technology and ET Works know-how to many other institutions through SSSNA.”
